SET-Mentorship___________________________________________________________________________
What’s the silver lining of problems?
Aren’t they windows of opportunity! When my passion
is providing solutions, then troubleshooting too fits
in the frame of the expertise I excel. That’s how
coaching and mentoring took roots in me. There can be
no better an educator than experience, and I only wish
to share what I have learnt in life. We need to learn
from the past, from other’s mistake and from our
own and if we ignore then we will have to start all over
again. May be its healthy to experiment but will it be
wise to test your feet in troubled water?
I always felt I could have done better in life if there
was some guidance offered, some sign posts illuminating
directions – which I got by choosing mentors early
in my professional career, hence there is this urge within
to be of use to those who have the potential to grow in
life. That perhaps explains the innate interest to give
my time and attention in imparting whatever I have learned
and trained. What we give comes back to us in multiples,
and I believe its true.
I identify two attributes, which in some exert tremendous
influence on me: Practice and Association.
’Practice what you preach’ because of preaching
I get into the mode of practicing. I wish to keep applying
and keep imparting. If I preach anything new then I am
forced to practice as well. I have to walk my talk to
make a lasting impression. By preach, I refer reach. And
knowledge is to be shared.
Any association is always weighed on the merits of its
value addition, which in a way paves the purpose in life,
adding substance to our existence. In my association I
wish to share my passion in a way it becomes contagious
for others to feel passionate too.
